This week was Spring Break for the kids in school so we packed up our gear and went down to old St George with Darrell and Missy. We stayed at a townhome in Washington in a little neighborhood with a pool. It wasn’t terribly warm outside but the kids didn’t care and wanted to spend the whole time in the pool anyway.

The first morning we went to Pioneer Park where we took family pictures at the Dearden reunion in 2023. The kids wanted to explore and climb everywhere. I did too.

After Pioneer Park we went to go to the Children’s Museum in St. George but it was rather busy, so we let the kids play in some water behind the spot. It was cold but kids don’t care about that.

That afternoon we went to a fun park near where we were staying called Canyon Park. It was pretty cool! It had an obstacle course for kids that had a timer start/stop button so that kids could time themselves on the course. It also had a 40 yard dash with weigh sensors to time how fast you could run it. As well, the park was at the trailhead to an awesome hike into a canyon with a small creek. The kids loved spotting lizards along the trail.

Our last day we went to the classic Thunder Junction park and then to the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center. That might have been the funnest part of the whole trip. The center had a big water slide that all the kids loved, a climbing wall over the water, a lazy river, a diving board, and a rope net over water to climb on. The kids had a blast and the parents enjoyed it too. 10/10.
