Yesterday we and all the missionaries in our district visited Toruń (pronounced Toroin), the home of Polish gingerbread. It was first made in the 13th century here and is famous worldwide. We took a tour and learned how gingerbread is made. As made here in Toruń, it is a special sugar cookie with ginger and other spices mixed in. The special ingrediente in Polish and German gingerbread is pepper! It gives the cookie a bit of a kick!
