Did you hear about the legend of the dragon of Toruń? Here is what we read when we visited the city. “On August 13, 1746, the foreman of carpentry Johann Georg Hieronimi and Kataharina Storchin, a soldier’s wife, testified to the municipal clerk in Toruń that in the spring of 1746 they saw a dragon. The monster was able to fly and swim and was 2 meters in length. Its head and the whole body were dark grey and the tail was pale brown and shiny. This flying dragon appeared near the Struga Toruńska in the region of Przedzamcze and flew away to the old Teutonic castle ruins.”
