Frombork

On Friday we visited the home of Nicolaus Copernicus, the city of Frombork. This city is located very close to Russia and we were anxious to see if we could see it from there. The missionaries taught one of their friends, a man from Bangladesh who was at work at a Kabob restaurant. It was pretty slow with few customers and we were able to teach him interspersed with his work. The lesson was on repentance and I thought we eventually connected with him but he had a hard time understanding the words and their meaning, not because he couldn’t speak English, but because the concepts were foreign to him. I spoke with him as he made sandwiches and I found he was supporting his wife and his sister and her whole family from what he was making working in the restaurant business. I was really impressed with his willingness to sacrifice, living in a foreign country alone, for them.
