Oregonians

Me and Julia went to Oregon! We left on June 22 and came back July 1st. We got to spend lots of time in the car together.

Here is what the Hammond’s house looked like. It was so beautiful and green everywhere.

We went to the Olympic trials at Hayward Field. I remember when they finished construction on this amazing stadium while I was a missionary on University of Oregon Campus.

We went swimming in lots of rivers. They’re family loves to do that. I have to say that I’ve been converted.

The Hammonds grow golden and red raspberries in their yard. They taste incredible. We obviously made homemade raspberry ice cream.

We stayed two nights at at beach house in Bandon. It was the house in the top left of the sand castle picture. It was so fun to explore all the cool rocks and pools up and down the beach. We made smores on the driftwood fire. They had a hot tub on the back porch of the beach house, so we ran back and forth from the ocean to the hot tub multiple times.

Then after the beach we rafted the Clackamas river:

Then we came back to provo for a couple days.

Uncle Roger’s family convinced us to come up to Idaho for the 4th and 5th of July, so we got back in the car and drove the same route again up to Kuna.

Spending the 4th with Uncle Roger and Aunt Juliane did not disappoint. We went to the parade, jumped in the canal, rode the swings, ate pinch burgers, homemade ice cream/root beer/shaved ice, played volleyball, and went boating

We came back from Idaho on Friday to make it to Parker Topham’s wedding on Saturday. It was fun to see all of Aunt Julie and Uncle Joe’s kids there.

So after two weeks of partying hard, going to work tomorrow seems like the lamest thing ever.
