Our Christmas Day 2024 was spent at home in our apartment. The sister missionaries came for a brunch then we had a nice dinner with the elders. The elders had gone to Warsaw with Damien, who was baptized in the font in the Warsaw building. They said it was a great experience to have him get baptized on Christmas Day. We were excited to get a new member of our branch too.
Giving gifts to missionaries is always hard because they actually don’t need anything physical to do their work. Really all you can do is give trinkets. Their hearts are drawn to past Christmas experiences with their families and to calling home to visit with them. We were no exception, talking to everyone in our family.
You have to respect our Christmas Dinner menu: steaks, rosemary potatoes and bruschetta!
